Chicago Home-Openers Empty
PostSubject: Chicago Home-Openers   Chicago Home-Openers Empty2008-04-01, 10:12

Well, both baseball teams opened off their seasons yesterday.

Unfortunately, both efforts were futile, and both lost the game. However, both games were very well played.

Sox game ended 10-8, in a loss. I didn't see this one.

I did see the Cubs game, and man--I thought it was gonna be a disgusting loss...It was the ninth inning, and Milwaukee FINALLY breaks a 0-0 game, and turns it 3-0. So here I am, sitting on my sofa, just waiting for the game to finish off w/ a 3-0 loss...when our new right-fielder--Fukudome, blasts a 3 RUN SHOT down center. Got my hopes up.

The game stood tight all the way through the 10th. But one Cubs pitching mistake makes the game 4-3 off an RBI.

And that was how it ended. I watched some of the highlights of the Sox game, and the offense was at full swing as well. So, we may have lost a battle--but the way both teams are playing, we should stand out in the war.
Very Happy

Why is it that some Japanese player always hits big in their first major league game? This time it was Fukudome.

I remember the crazy game Matsui had for the Yankees when he first played. Nuts.
